I’m Andy. This is Marek.
We live in Tampa, Florida.
We like breakfast.

About Tampa Bay Breakfasts
It all started as a plan to let mom sleep late one day each week, when Marek was 6 months old and would wake up crying at 0600. Three years and almost 100 unique restaurant visits later we can say this: It’s gotten a bit out of hand. We have breakfast at mom-and-pop home-style diners and restaurants throughout the Tampa Bay area. We avoid national chains, drive-throughs, convenience stores, and places that don’t serve a traditional Southern breakfast. We like blueberry pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pretty much anything on the breakfast menu. And we like strong black coffee, diner style. Lots of coffee. We have a rigorous, completely subjective, scientific, we-make-it-up-as-we-go Rating System we use to assess our breakfasts. We’re serious.
Please contact us if you have a favorite restaurant we should try out. Our territory includes all of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties and we’ll make special trips to the Levy-Marion-Citrus tri-county area (because there’s grandparents up there!). And don’t miss our Breakfast Fan Mail. If you’re not on the Tampa Bay Breakfasts Map, then you’re just not cookin’ breakfast.
The Tampa Bay Breakfasts official Poet of Breakfast is Aleshea Harris.

Breakfast News
Third anniversary! We’ll be celebrating our third anniversary of Tampa Bay Breakfasts on the 20th or 21st. Where should we go? Let us know your ideas via our contact page.
We’ve been struggling to get breakfasts done and reviews written weekly. We’re moving to a monthly format for 2012 in an effort to keep Tampa Bay Breakfasts from feeling too much like work, and hopefully we’ll give you a better product as a result. Thanks for reading Tampa Bay Breakfasts!
We had another celebrity encounter event on 24 October 2011. This guy at work, he says to me his wife was looking for a good breakfast and she called him over to check out this web site she found. He says to her, “I think I know that guy in the Unix t-shirt.” I’m pretty sure this is what it feels like to be famous, like Lenny Kravitz, or maybe Albert Camus. (I feel like the Albert Camus of pancakes. (And I’m pretty sure that previous sentence has never been uttered in the history of mankind. (And don’t you just love nested parenthesis, just like we’re coding LISP? (I am totally geeking out on my own customized “Camus Pancake LISP” variant))))
We had a celebrity encounter event today (18th August 2011) … and we were the celebrities! We ran into a very nice lady named Clair. She says, “do I know you?” Then, “are you the breakfast guys?” Yes, ma’am, we are! This is the first time it ever happened like that, out of the blue being recognized. We’ve been grinning ever since! – Andy and Marek
