we talk about these things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is the business, the location, or the decor unique in some way?\u00a0 Extra points if Elvis, or Metallica, ever ate there.<\/li>\n<li>Do the people like Marek?\u00a0 Extra points given for lollipops, playing cars with him, or taking him on a tour of the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Are the staff friendly?\u00a0 Do they seem to know regulars by name?<\/li>\n<li>Are the customers friendly?\u00a0 Do they seem to be regulars?<\/li>\n<li>Is the cost reasonable?<\/li>\n<li>Does the menu have anything special or unique?\u00a0 Extra points for secret recipes, menus with stories about how a particular recipe was passed down for generations, or simply unique or bizarre offerings.<\/li>\n<li>Is the coffee hot, black, and bottomless?<\/li>\n<li>Are the pancakes good?<\/li>\n<li>Are the eggs good?<\/li>\n<li>Is the bacon good?<\/li>\n<li>Does Marek eat anything?\u00a0 Everything?<\/li>\n<li>Do we have a good time and look forward to our next visit?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We give ratings of up to five pancakes, one for each element of food, people, interesting quirks, cost, and Marek&#8217;s general reaction.\u00a0 For example, an overpriced, bland place with moderately cordial people but really good food, where Marek finishes a whole pancake and is comfortable enough to quietly play cars, this would be a two and a
