We like breakfast

I’m Andy. This is Marek. And Ivo.

We live in Tampa, Florida.

We like breakfast.

About Tampa Bay Breakfasts

It all started as a plan to let mom sleep late one day each week, when Marek was 6 months old and would wake up crying at 0600. Four years and well over 100 different restaurant visits later we can say this: It’s gotten a bit out of hand. From April 2009 to June 2014, we reviewed breakfasts at mom-and-pop home-style diners and restaurants throughout the Tampa Bay area.

We like blueberry pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pretty much anything on the breakfast menu.  We like strong black coffee, diner style. We have a rigorous, completely subjective, scientific, we-make-it-up-as-we-go Rating System we use to assess our breakfasts. We’re serious about breakfast.

Our territory includes all of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties and we’ll make special trips to the Levy-Marion-Citrus tri-county area (because there’s grandparents up there!). Don’t miss our Breakfast Fan Mail. If you’re not on the Tampa Bay Breakfasts Map, then you’re just not cookin’ breakfast.

Remember that cool newspaper article back in December? The fine folks at Tampa Bay Times are using us in their advertising campaign. Go fly Southwest or U.S. Air from Tampa International and you’ll see us on the tram!

Yet another reason to love Datz. They literally put us on their menu! . There was also a fun interview on the Datz blog for a while.

We were on on AM 820 at 1400 on 12 January 2013. First time ever on the radio! Here’s the podcast.

We’re famous! See the 5 December 2012 Tampa Bay Times (link no longer available since the merger of the Times and the Tribune).
